You’ll attend one full-day session designed to help you deepen your content knowledge, align on standards and curriculum, and collaborate with peers to strengthen instruction across our schools.
Our Recognition Rally, BBQ, and Wellness Fair from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the gym and quad—a chance to celebrate, connect, and recharge.

Nurses will meet with Gary Middleton, the new Director of Student and Family Services, for an initial check-in and a walk-through of the year ahead. This session will set the stage for collaboration, support, and a successful school year.
As an Extensive Support Needs (ESN) SDC teacher you deeply understand that to support your students in learning functional academic and life skills, it is vital to provide your students a classroom with both rigorous academics and structured routines. Collaborate with your colleagues in setting up meaningful classroom procedures and preparing units of study from Everway (formerly Unique Learning Systems) for a successful year for your students and classroom team!
This session will be facilitated by SPARK. This session will be interactive. Please come dressed comfortably in tennis shoes ready to participate.
This session is designed to explore the diverse ways students communicate. Participants will be introduced to the means and functions of communication, discover different communicator profiles through real-life examples and videos, and dive into a case study that highlights unique strengths and challenges. The session will also provide practical strategies and supports tailored to honor and enhance each student's individual communication style, whether they use speech, gestures, aided communication tools or a combination of methods. By the end of this training, educators and support staff will feel more confident in recognizing, respecting, and fostering authentic communication for all students.
TK Teachers leaders will provide training for all TK teachers on the newly board adopted curriculum Focus on 4s.

How do I know what session to attend? Elementary has been assigned to a session based in their grade levels. Secondary has been assinged to sessions based on thier content area/Departments. Room assingments can be found on the website under session information tab. All session will be held at SLHS with exception of the PE teacchers who will be in the FTK gym.
Where do I sign in? All staff will sign in with your facilitator at your session.
Am I assinged to two or one session? This fall sessions are full day workshops.
Where will breakfast and lunch be? Breakfast will be served at the SLHS gym 7:45-8:15 and lunch will be served in the Quad.
Where do I go for the Rally & Superintendent's BBQ? Join your school in the SLHS gym at 11:00 for the rally. The BBQ and wellness fair will follow at 12:00 in the quad.
Do I need to sign up for lunch? Not this time. It will be a BBQ style Gluten-free, Vegan, and Vegetarian options available
